New Course Outline

This course endeavours to teach you the essential aspects of Mindfulness-based Meditation, Loving Kindness and Self- and other Compassion. It is based on my own research for my book ‘Mindfulness for Compassionate Living’ and the main aspects of MSC.  You will be taught how to use Mindfulness, Self-Kindness, and Compassion exercises in the form of meditations and every day life practices. The course runs 10 individual sessions and a half day of silent practice. It is suitable both for beginners and people who have some experience of Mindfulness and/or Meditation.

The Key Aims include:

  • How to respond wisely to difficult emotions with mindfulness and compassion.
  • Enriching and sustaining mindfulness practice and mindful movement.
  • Making space for simply being in the present moment.
  • Finding  ideas for nourishing yourself and self-acceptance.
  • Learning how to start the path of forgiveness.
  • Becoming stronger when fear has a grip on you.

We will look at what is familiar and also consider what is innovative for us. The course will involve periods of complete silence, as well as time for sharing. There will be a mix of guided practice within breath and body meditation, walking meditation, movement, and opportunities for one-to-one work with the teacher.
