This course, based on the work of Neff and Germer, endeavours to teach you the three main components of self-compassion: Self-Kindness, Awareness of Our Common Humanity, and Mindfulness. This is a free taster session designed to showcase the upcoming series of courses.
The Key Aims include:
- Deepening your personal practice of responding to difficult emotions with
mindfulness and compassion
Embodying a mindful and compassionate stance towards challenges in life
Enriching and sustain mindfulness practice and mindful movement
Making space for simply being
Finding new space for inspiration and nourishment
There will be a chance to look at what is familiar and also consider what is innovative for us. The course will involve periods of complete silence, as well as time for sharing and for enabling a feeling of connection with fellow participants. There will be a mix of guided practice within meditation, walking meditation, group work and opportunities for one-to-one work with teachers.
